DV prevention law
Spousal violence is a serious violation of human rights, including criminal activity.
Victims of spousal violence are often women, and spousal abuse against women who have difficulty financially independence harms individual dignity and hinders gender equality .
spouse | Men and women do not matter. Includes true marriages and former spouses (when they are violent before divorce and continue to be violent after divorce). |

Based on this recognition, the Spouse Violence Prevention Law was enacted in April 2001.
After that, there were many cases that could not be handled by the existing protection order
- Extend protection order to ex-spouse
- Order to prohibit access to child of victim
- Extend the evacuation order to two months
The amended law was enacted and was enforced from December 2004.
