What is the safe driving manager system?
The Safe Driving Manager System is a system in which a person responsible for ensuring safe driving is set up at business sites to prevent traffic accidents and broadly maintain road traffic safety and order.
The following business establishments must appoint a safe driving manager and an auxiliary safe driving manager according to the law (Road Traffic Law), respectively, and report to the Prefectural Public Safety Commission.
Safe driving manager
- Establishments that use 5 or more private automobiles (one motorcycle is calculated as 0.5)
- Establishments using one or more private cars with a capacity of 11 or more
- Sales offices that use one or more car driving agents
Deputy safe driving manager
- Establishments using more than 20 private cars
(Standard for one person per 20 vehicles)
- Sales offices that use 10 or more car driving agents
(Standard for one person per 10 cars)
